NOTICE: The next monthly meeting of the Overmountain Weavers Guild (Wednesday, October 21st) will be held in the 2nd floor Main Gallery of the Renaissance Center, located at 1200 E. Center St., Kingsport, starting at 10:00 am.

The Overmountain Weavers Guild’s Fall Fiber Festival will be held at Exchange Place Saturday, Nov. 14 (10-5) and Sunday, Nov. 15 (noon-5). This free event features local fiber producers and artists who will be selling their fleeces, yarns, rovings, and hand-crafted fiber products as well as demonstrating fiber crafts, including spinning, weaving and felting. The Burow Museum will be open and will include antique looms and an exhibit of antique toys. The Museum Gift Shop will also be open with items for sale featuring the wool from EP’s Cotswold sheep.
The Overmountain Weavers Guild (OMWG) was established to teach, stimulate, and furnish inspiration, information, and mutual assistance in the growth and development of handweaving, spinning, dyeing, felting, basketry, and related fiber arts. Anyone interested in learning, and expanding their knowledge and skills in these areas is welcome to join.
